More Eyes at UCSD

Diversity will become greater at UC San Diego, due to this year's increase in admissions and the bigger pool of applicants. Due to the Fox 5 news report, "according to UCSD, 8.6 percent more low-income students were admitted compared to last year, while 20.2 percent more will be the first in their family to attend college. The class also includes higher numbers of blacks (12.5 percent), Mexican-Americans (17.5 percent), other Latinos (6.6 percent) and Filipinos (4.7 percent) than the previous fall quarter."

Statistics also show the increase in admission in other UC campuses, as too many students are unique and very achieved.
